Laugh In Peace

The Interfaith Center was a supporter of “Laugh in Peace,” a renowned comedy team that performed as a Kumpuris lecture at the Barry L. Travis Exhibition Hall at the Robinson Center on November 12, 2012.

Laugh in Peace, featuring Rabbi Bob Alper, Muslim comic Mo Amer and Rev. Susan Sparks, promotes interfaith action, multiculturalism and peace through the universal appeal of laughter. Beneath the laughter is a serious message of healing, understanding and tolerance at a time when tension among different faiths is running high.

Over 1,200 people attended the performance.

The Interfaith Center assembled a team of 12 multi-faith organizations and raised $9,000 for the Laugh in Peace team speaker fees and travel costs, and partnered with the Clinton Center to provide the venue and significant marketing and communication outreach.
